Unique designs made by hand to suit all kinds of styles.
This collection came about when I went through all my random letters to see if I could make any words that would be good on a generic necklace. This was during a time when lots of people were talking about the blue wave. oddly enough I had a bunch of blue W's and V's. I realized I could spell wave six times and awake once. I thought there might be a market for it and idea for the Blue Wave collection was born. I just recently found time to make it a reality.

We bought an old neon bar light but much of the paint had started chipping off. I touched up the black paint where it was needed but the yellow was in much worse shape. In the end all the yellow paint had to be very carefully sanded off and airbrushed back on. This was a first. I was thrilled with how it turned out.

My son need a monitor stand for a monitor with a really odd base. He had very little space so the stand had to conform to the shape of the base. He also needed it to be about 7 inches tall. Obviously we couldn't find anything in stores or online that would work. So, I created this.

Once I finished that he realized that he also needed something for another of his monitors. This one also had space restrictions and needed to be 22 inches tall. After studying the space I decided my best bet was to make a three legged stand and use the post of the other monitor as the fourth leg.

To stabilize the fourth leg I carved a niche that the top of the post would fit in to hold it steady.

The red stripe you see here is the post from the other monitor acting as the fourth leg.

Here you can see both stands and the space we were dealing with.

This is a better shot of the odd shaped base I was working with and how nicely it sits on the stand.

We bought some new lights for the front yard this year. They were so cool looking we decided that after Halloween they would look awesome behind the pool. The only problem was that they came with stakes to be stuck in the ground and you can't stick those into pavers. We needed stands. I had a bunch of scrap 2x4's and a good idea.

The boards I was working with had nail holes and other imperfections so, out came the wood putty. After cutting the stands, I filled all the holes and other issues. Then, I started sanding. I rounded off the tops and smoothed out all the sides and they were ready to paint.

A couple coats of paint and they were ready to go. They look pretty nice back there, don't they?

The first one to come up was my deer. Once again a few sections of lights died. This is actually the second time I have had to replace most of his lights. The fun part is that almost every single light has to be attached to the frame. The original clips that held the lights in place broke from years of being exposed to the weather and sun. So, I replaced them with zip ties.

It took me about 3 days and around 275 zip ties to get it all done. Looking at how pretty my little Rudolph came out, it was totally worth it.

Next came the tree board. I actually made this several years ago. I have made changes and touch ups every few years. I also had to replace the train track one year when the old train died.

After the board comes out and I get the light in place, then comes the village. It's a little different every year. I'm always adding new pieces.

Here's the end result for this last year. I love doing displays like this.

My 2024 gnome advent calendar had a little something for each day. Last year I was struggling with a way to display them all, as many of them would not stand on their own. I decided that I needed a Gnome bench. I found some wood and put the basic seat together then stained it nice and pretty. I then cut out some armrests for the ends, stained those too, and glued them on. It turned out perfect for

When my mother passed away I inherited a few of the things she had collected. I started with her old fashioned door knockers. After racking my brain trying to decide the best way to display them I had an epiphany. Put them on an old fashioned looking door. found some boards, fashioned a door, stained it and added a little handle that would blend right in.

The end product definitely lived up to my every expectation. Mom would be proud.

Next came her hand painted British-made chalkware wall masks. These were made by the W.H. Bossons Ltd. company and are highly collectible. Most of the ones Mom collected were characters from Charles Dickens stories. Knowing that most people are not going to recognize them I decided I had to find a way to label them. After I found an appropriate board I covered it in a nice royal blue material.

After identifying all the heads, I picked up some transfer paper which would work on dark fabric. I then printed and applied the transfers, and hung the heads. I was pleased with the end result. I think it does Mom's collection justice. Would you have recognized any of these?

Last but not least is my speaker stand / remote table. About 20 years ago we moved to a new home. We got ourselves a nice sectional couch pointed at a huge TV with a surround sound system. We wanted something that would blend in with the shape of the couch and had to be the perfect height. Of course, we couldn't find anything that would work. I took advantage of the situation and talked my husband

After 20 years, having survived the sun from the sliding glass door, and a kitty cat who enjoyed using it as a scratching post, It is still standing tall and doing it's job. My husband was skeptical at first but I surprised him. Lol
